God Has Conquered Everything
We as humans get this idea stuck in our minds that the things around us have to keep us captive.
We often let impatience keep us in anxiety. We let worry keep us from wisdom. We run around chasing our emotions like a dog chasing its tail. A never-ending cycle of sad happy sad happy. How often do we look to the truth of the Bible, “For with God nothing shall be impossible.”
Luke 1:37
How great is this truth, how often do we let it slip past our minds, how great is the love of God for us. That He would send His only Son to love us, to teach us, to die for us, His Spirit to live within us, and to give us strength for each and every day.
Nothing is impossible with God, He has conquered everything. God hasn’t simply given us strength through worries or trials. He hasn’t made our loads lighter or burdens simpler, but He has conquered it all. He has taken away everything which keeps us in bondage. He has gone away with the old and given us new. New life, new hearts, new love, new minds, new rest, and a peace which surpasses beyond any stretch of our imaginations.
God has conquered all. He has gone out of the bounds of all logic in His grace and mercy, giving us that which we do not deserve in loving us so much that He would suffer and die for our good. Because of this we are now given all that we need for every moment in all things at all times.
We have the grace of Christ, the love of God, and communion with the Holy Spirit of our God most high. Truly we can say, “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” Romans 8:37
The Lord our God is our Shepherd, our Father, our Lord, and above all things He is the Conqueror Who is on our side fighting every battle and lifting every burden.
We must pray,
Lord,
guide me in my thoughts and help me to trust all that I have with You. You love me, and this truth will I never let go. You give to me all the things that I need for each and every moment. Never am I left wanting, never am I left unsatisfied, never do I remain broken because You are my God, Conqueror of everything that is against me. Lord, I love You and every day will I choose to because I am also made a conqueror in the name of Jesus, by the blood of Jesus, through the love of God.
Lord, conquer my heart.
