God Through Scripture.

On every page of the Bible, throughout the Old and New Testaments, the truth of God is established and consistent.

I have heard many people throughout the years state this lie that the God of the New Testament is different from the God of the Old Testament.

But I am here to proclaim that before the foundation of the Earth, God is God and there has been no other god nor will there be any other god. The Lord Jesus is God and He is the Alpha and the Omega reigning from everlasting unto everlasting!!!

Truly, God is throughout the Scriptures.

David in Psalm 19 and the apostle Paul through the books of Romans and 1 Corinthians establish this truth with such clarity.

David opens the Psalm by singing a powerful fact that all of creation has been set up by the LORD our God, and that every part of creation resounds His magnificent name.

“The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament sheweth

his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, And night unto night

sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, Where their

voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the earth, And

their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle

for the sun,” Psalm 19:1-4

The opening part of this Psalm says that none is exempt from the proof of a creator!!!

No matter the language spoken, the cultural beliefs, the local teachings, creation alone yells out, “there is a creator!!”

Paul echoes this same truth in Romans 1,

“For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are

clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even

his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:”

Romans 1:20

Because there is a creator, the question must be pondered of, “who is this creator?" or, "Which religion is the truth?”

From asking these questions, the answer is found furthermore in Psalm 19,

“The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: The testimony

of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.” Psalm 19:7

The LORD of the Bible is this Creator!

Throughout scripture we find that the law of the Lord is good and that His moral truths are written on each of our hearts. This verse in the Psalms points out an important aspect of the way God works.

Paul further explains it by saying,

“but God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound

the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to

confound the things which are mighty;” 1 Corinthians 1:27

God does not work in the way that man would.

God’s ways are good and upright.

While man would say to take your vengeance, God says to forgive.

While man would correct the evil in this world with destruction and purging, God came to die on a cross and pay the sin-debt of His enemies.

God’s law is perfect, His ways are good, and He uses the simple things to establish His eternal power!

It is from these two truths supporting God being the Creator of this world that our only right response is to follow verse 14,

“Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be

acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.”

Psalm 19:14

Paul mirrors this verse with such clarity,

“that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt

believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou

shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9

May our response be to follow in faith. To believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths, Jesus Christ is LORD!!! For in His name alone is there salvation and everlasting life in Heaven!
