Sickness
Is a word ascribing a specific state to a body or a mind. In every living creature can sickness be seen.
There is sickness throughout every organism, battling the balance of health to receive life.
There is also an abundance of sickness in the minds of man.
Twisted is the world in which we live in.
Throughout every corner can sin be found, even inventions of evil far worse than what is natural in this world. Sickness is everywhere, infiltrating the peace we so deeply desire only to bring brokenness and separation to whatever it can get its hands on.
But God.
But God is the great Physician.
Oh there will come a day where the grasp of sickness has no longer any dominion on the creatures of the Lord!!
There will come a day where the Kingdom of God is free from all sorts of illnesses. Our bodies will thrive in freedom, our minds will be restored to the fullness of peace!
Truly, we were not created for the heartaches of sickness. This was not the will of God for us, yet we desired it in disobedience and still, even now, continue to succumb to its temptations.
We desire the facade of pleasures which the world has to offer and just when it’s too late we cannot escape the consequences of sickness. We are even taken by surprise with the natural sicknesses of this world.
When it seems we have done it all, sickness may sneak in with the power of an army to destroy.
Such is the state of this world in separation from the Lord. While we may seek Him in the fullness of truth and purity, the world plays no favorites on who its brokenness reaches. We are all affected by how this world has chosen disobedience from its Creator.
But, praise the LORD, that His mercy is so good and that His grace is far abundant. So much so that He has promised life to those who surrender to Him.
Yes, this life may be taken away from us, but the next life, in Christ, will be given to us for eternity.
Choose you this day who you will serve, whether that be to continue in the world which will always fall short of its promises and take everything you have, or whether that be the God Who created you and loved you so much that He gave His own life so that you might receive life!
