Is God Good?
Does the Lord hear our prayers?
Does He count our every tear?
The answer, without a doubt, is always only ever… yes!!!
Yes He is good. Yes He does care. Yes He is always with us, never does He leave us and never will He ever forsake us.
Questioning God’s goodness is like questioning the color of the sky or the faithfulness of the sun and the moon to rise and set each day. Of course our God is good.
Does it always feel like we are abiding and thriving in His goodness? No, it might not, that is the nature of this world. The enemy of our Lord in this world seeks to steal, kill and destroy all that belongs to the Lord. But, our God proves faithful for greater is He Who is within us then he that is in this world.
Jesus has already won the victory over sin, hurt, struggle, death.
Defeat is not in the vocabulary of Christians when it pertains to Christ and His followers.
There is only one defeated, and that is the serpent which was crushed by the heel of our Savior and LORD Jesus Christ!!!
Because He reigns, God is good.
Because He conquered death, God is good.
Because He gave us life, God is good.
And because the life I have is not my own, I will choose to live it in the fullness of the glory of our God!
Because God is good, I am ok.
Is there hurt or struggle in your life today?
Look to our great God.
Dwell in His Word.
Talk to Him in wholehearted honesty and He will listen.
Walking in this life, I have but one greatest absolute truth:
Truly, God is good.
Truly, I will forever be ok because my God is good. His grace is sufficient for us in times of trouble. We will never be overtaken by a wild storm, never swallowed by billowing waves of rough waters.
Our God is the firm foundation upon which we stand.
We stand with the assurance that He is with us, for us, beside us, above us, before us.
Truly, God is good.
