Keep Calm.
One of the most common states people dwell in are unrest, anxiety, worry, and a lack of peace.
What is the answer?
Keep calm.
The Lord is our rest, our salvation, our help in the night.
Does this mean that He saves our souls and leaves us subject to the struggles of this world to figure it out ourselves?
No!
It means that He is at our side, before us, behind us, above us, within us!
The Lord of all creation, speaking powerfully through His Word, filling His followers with His Spirit, making His believers new creations, is with us forever and always in all ways!
I see people who are trudging through this world without the hope of Christ and watch as they wonder why they are so anxious.
They deliberately choose belief systems in opposition to the Word of God, following them because some random scholar or scientist concocted an unestablished theory, or because some random man created a new self-glorifying religion.
When will they realize, and we likewise fully understand, that in all things we can have joy, peace, love and a calmness so unlike anything in this world that God deserves the glory!!!
When will we take the LORD at His Word?
“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God
in Christ Jesus concerning you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18
“Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.”
Philippians 4:4
“Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches,
in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake:
for when I am weak, then am I strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:10
Realize that the cares of this world are nothing compared to the victory won by Christ.
The things of this world are overcome by our living loving LORD.
I get it, there are unexpected troubles, there are deep struggles, there are tough battles, but why do you let there be five combatting voices in our heads when the Lord ought to be the sole leader of our souls?
We anxiously repeat, “fear not,” while jumping to the worst conclusion in every scenario.
We ask God where He’s at while quickly skipping through His Word just to get the job done.
We are sheep, let Him be your Shepherd.
We are a children, let Him be your Father.
You are not alone, let Him guide you.
Keep calm and trust in the Lord!
