New Places, Same Faces
All across the world, wherever we go, we are never alone.
Though places change, the truth remains the same, Jesus is always with us and the Gospel is alive!
Americans who go to Greece, South Koreans who come to America, Germans who go to Peru, though it may seem few, can always find a friendly face. There are churches all across the world.
Sure, they might not always worship the same, they might not talk the same, but the fact remains that the Gospel doesn’t change. The body of Christ knows no bounds, the Spirit works all around.
All too often people fall into the Christian bubbles and they begin to believe that Jesus exists only in their church walls. When has this ever been true? Is this not the point of missions, to take the Gospel to all nations so that every tongue may sing praises to God?
Whether you are going into Canada, or going from North Carolina to Georgia, maybe even your home church to the church 5 blocks away, the Bible-preaching and Gospel believing church exists! Not because a building says so, or a church constitution is written as such, but because the church expands past one building, two buildings, or three.
The church is all across the world! How naive for us to think that only we in a 300 person church hold the truth. How selfish to believe that suit-wearing preachers and southern-accent having congregants with hymn books in hand are the only ones who hold the truth.
Because a church sings different songs or wears different clothes does not make them false. For we are all the body of Christ who believe in the name of Jesus Christ as our Savior and proclaim Him as the Lord of all and the Son of God!!!
It is true, some hold different doctrines and practices, but is the dogma the same? That which is essential; the trinity, virgin birth, salvation by grace through faith, eternal security of our salvation, and the command to GO unto all nations!
God has been gracious in growing His church all across the world. When we limit the “right way” of church gathering to our own local church body, then we severely affect the impact we have on outreach and church partnership.
All across the world, places change, but faces remain the same. You will find people all over who worship, praise, and serve the same God! Mighty is He Who came to save and Whose reign knows no bounds.
