Take a Moment to Stop and Breathe
Life is often so busy and fast that it feels like we cannot catch our breath.
Let your light shine by the Spirit of Christ within you. For we are only human, and we need Him to take over. We need Him to fuel our desires, strengths, emotions. We need Him to guide everything which comes from within. Becoming a new creation doesn’t just happen, it takes a surrendering to the Creator.
I mean why wouldn’t we hand ourselves over? We’ve found that on our own we fail way too often, but with God all things are made possible and there is an eternal peace. Take a look at ourselves... we wonder why it’s so difficult to find the time to do the things we must, while it’s so easy to find the time to do the things we want. We’re able to spend time with our friends when we haven’t called our family in days. We’re able to work the bare minimum when we could make the most of every conversation. We’re able to use our tiredness as an excuse when we could learn more about the Word of God. We’re able to drown in personal worries when we could pray over our brothers and sisters. This world has made it easy to fulfill the lusts of the flesh. While fulfilling the desires of the Lord requires a higher help!
Y’all, just take a moment, stop and breathe. This life is so full. It is beautiful what we have been given, and we choose to waste so much of it. Back down from your pride, give yourself to God, help your neighbors. Feed the hungry, heal the sick, stand with the weak. Be thankful for every breath, every new morning, and go to bed with tears of joy for lives you’re surrounded by.
