Remember the Loving Ones

God places people into our lives.

We truly do come across all types of people in our lifetime. We come across those who we may not fully get along with, we come across those who we call our best friends, we come across an innumerable amount of strangers, and we even have family members who share our very DNA.

In the mundane, in the repetition of schedule, we so often forget the ones who love us. We forget that there are many people who have known us from birth, who we have walked alongside, who even currently love us deeply, and we forget to love them back.

Now, we might love them, we may even pour into some of their lives, but do we fully love each of them? Do we even go so far as to love the people we have yet to know, or who we might never fully know past a casual greeting?

We must remember the loving ones and to be loving ones ourselves. To be loved, one of the greatest gifts in this world, longed for by so many. Yet, so many never find the true version of this love.

This world strives for a word called, “love.” They create shows, sing songs, write stories all filled with the odyssey of love at its core. The protagonist in great pursuit of taming the most magnificent of beasts. But love, it is no beast, it is no treacherous odyssey, it is the Son of God Who stepped down from Heaven to take our place on that cross. Love is God the Father Who created us in His image, breathing life into our undeserving bodies. Love is the Spirit indwelling us that we might live with power for a far greater purpose than this world’s way!!!

Love is God.

So I say again, remember the loving ones. Remember the ones who love you and love them deeply and so wholeheartedly that there is no doubt you love them too.

Love them for God has loved us. We all too often become consumed by our goals and self-proclaimed busyness, we love others in the bare minimum, that which is necessary to cross the line from a liking to a small love.

The Bible states that there is no greater love than a man who would lay down his life for his friends. In death and in life, lay down your life! Remember all those around you who you are called to love and do it with such a depth, such a humility, such a fullness of sincerity that there is no explanation but that Christ has filled you with the grace to do so!!!

Love all those around you, for Christ has loved you. Remember the ones who love you, and remember the ones who might not have an affinity towards you.

Pray for all, do good to all, and love all!

Jesus loves us, Jesus loves them, we owe nothing less.
